unix executable file

Disk crash required data recovery. Main identity folder has entourage
files that are in unix executable file format. What should be done to
get these files readable by entourage.

If by "unix executable file format" you mean that the eXecute bit is set
when displaying the file's permissions, nothing need be done. For a
folder, that bit means the folder may be searched and for a file, it
means that the shell has permission to treat the file as an executable
but it does not convert the file to an executable format, whatevr that
is.
