unresolved feature questions

There are a couple of features necessary to operate in a business
environment dominated by PC's with Outlook. I have seen questions
posted but no answers...just the sound of crickets. Surely the MACBU
isn't just sitting on their hands. When will these be resolved???

1) How does one forward a meeting notice? Can't do this on a Mac. A
corollary to this is how to invite another person?

2) How does one propose another time for a meeting?

These items should be relatively easy to implement. What is the
problem?

I am also wondering what is happening with respect to running on the
new intel based machines. Is the PC version of Outlook being proted to
the MAC?

I should let you know that I have never used Entourage in a business
environment, which means that I have never used some of its business-related
features. So while I can't help you with your first two questions, I would
suggest you send the MacBU your suggestions and feature requests by clicking
on Help>Send Feedback on Entourage; it's the most efficient way of making a
feature request, although several Microsoft employees read these newsgroups
quite regularly. And no, Microsoft has no intention of porting Outlook to
Mac OS X; there is, however, an older version of Outlook, Outlook 2001,
freely available for the classic Mac OS, which you might find helpful. Note
that it will only work in an Exchange environment, and it requires the
Classic environment to work. It can be downloaded from the Mactopia website,
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/outlookformac/outlookformac.aspx
?pid=outlookformac>.

Thanks for your response. I have been using a PowerBook G4 with Office
2004 for almost 3 years now. I have had no problems. When I go to
meetings and open the Powerbook and run all the familiar applications
the others in the meeting are green with envy. These are the only two
real problems I have run into (other than fonts not being available). I
work for a high tech EDA company so my peers are quite astute. But
little things like this make it hard to keep a straight face and say
Outlook and Entourage are totally compatible.

There is one workaround. iCal will accept the forwarded meeting notice.
I can then sync iCal with Entourage. Not very elegant, but it works.

Hopefully the MACBU will see the opportunity to increase revenue by
selling into the engineering environment by adding a few small
features......
