Update function keeps breaking in Frontpage2003 Database ASP Site

I have developed several websites using the Database Interface Wizard of
Frontpage 2003. I have mostly text types of fields, but sometimes numbers or
dates too. Things will be working fine one day and the next, there is no
longer the ability to update data by users who have the username/password.
This is very frustrating. Any advice on how to make this process more
stable, other than switching to php/mysql? Thanks, Tim
