Update storage

Please can we have a method for saving update downloads to a file.
Each time the system is re-installed, we have to download all of the updates
again.
This is a waste of time. It also gets lengthy as the age of the product
extends.

Hi Reklaw,

When you're saying the system is reinstalled, are you talking
about reformatting the hard drive? If so, where are you planning
to store the updates. If you're doing a repair/reinstall of Office then the previously installed updates should be applied from
their cached
copies on your harddrive for versions 2000 through 2003.

How are you deploying/installing Office (and what versions) now?

MS Office updates are available as downloads and have been since
Office 97. What method are you using now to download the updates
or acquire them on CDs?
