Update table from control code

Hi All,

I have a form control that generates a "code" by concatenating 2 of the
other fields in the form together with a numeric value picked up from a
table.

Using VBA coding in the form control l would like to do the following :

each time the numeric value is used in the form and the record saved
increment the value used by 1 and write it to back to the original source
field in the table.

Can anybody pls give me the code to do this ?

I'm pretty new to Access VBA but experienced with Excel VBA so please be
gentle !
