update table in adp

In our electronic dept. when they finish repairing parts then they close the
job. They scan the serial number on the screen then process updates the pool
file by reducing one repaired parts and increasing one parts on shelf. we
have tested the system one by one it works fine. But when we scan many serial
numbers continuously, we miss some updates, it does not updates data for some
of the parts. can anyone help me.
