Upgrade of Office 2004 to 2008 leads to a corrupted data base

After 5 tries (2 with the MS hotline) i have been unable to port my office 2004 files to 2008. Even after establishing new identities and using the MS workaround for particularly large files (~15GB data base). 2008 is not useable! additionally after going back to 2004 office, i find occassional files that are now unusable

You are in a special category of user with 15 GB of data. I would look at
reducing your data into archive Identities. Importing that much data is
surely going to be troublesome.
