Urgent for experts: Calender sync with .NET passport

B

Boaz

I have a mixed environment of Macs(running Entourage) and
Windows (running Outlook XP and 2000) there is no exchange
server.
I want to be able to sync calenders between Entourage and
outlook users.
I know about the NET folders free/busy add-in in outlook
and the ICAL product for Macintosh but there is no
mechanizm to bridge between them.
Any software solution besides installing an exchange
server ? Any expert forum i should consult with ?
Thanks

Well, it's not simple, but there is a way. If you get my shareware scripts
"export-Import Entourage X" from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

and read both the ReadMe (Installation and Outlook sections) and the
separate Synchronization.rtf document, you'll see how to do it for contacts,
calendar, tasks and notes. (It's a _little_ less complicate than it sounds
I'd recommend syncing about once a week, not every day. I'd also recommend
the "Simple method for forgetful people" which probably actually works
better.) I'm not sure I could manage this myself too often. But it does
work, For mail, use IMAP. A current free IMAP solution is at mailcan.com.
