I'm new to Macs but have not been able to find any reference to this problem
using web searches.....

I use Entourage 2004 and when I get an email with a URL, it seems Entourage
is adding a clickable link, enclosed in <> ...... Example

http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?page=whitepapers&id=400
<http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?page=whitepapers&id=400>

But is messing up the URL by actually adding AMP; following the ampersand

The sender did not include the < .... > as seen above .... This is being
built by Entourage 2004.

Is there a fix for this????

Thanks

Gene

Nothing's broken. "&amp" is a proper encoding for the "&" character and
enclosing the entire URL in angle brackets ensures its integrity across
line breaks when you click on it.

But if I click on it, it then brings up Firefox (my default) and the url is
not correctly accessed.

I don't know what to tell you. I Cmd-clicked on the URL in your post (
<http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?page=whitepapers&id=400>
) and the page came right up.

Did the page come right up??? What happens with these errors is you DO get
"A" page on the web site but not the one you were after.

Do you get the Product Categories screen or, what you should get, the
Counterspy page??[/QUOTE]

You're right; I don't get the Counterspy page. Sorry.
