URLs with invalid code from 3rd party applications

When I add code from a third party such as Constant Constant or Amazon, it
often causes the page to fail validation. It seems like it's usually because
of problems with the URL strings that they use.

Has anybody managed to find a way to fix these things so that the code
validates?

Examples of the errors:

cannot generate system identifier for general entity "p".

You may need to escape out the &'s linking your parameters together,
changing the '&' to '&'

www-domain-com/page.html?var1=value1&var2=value2 will not validate

Mi amigo Mike,

No indeed, I'm happy to have your advice, and very good advice it is. I just
didn't want to get scolded for being off-topic. :) Thanks very much - that
was exactly what I needed to do.
