Users aren't added to enterprise resources

Help!! I've been tearing my hair out over the following problem in MS Project Server 2003 and MS Proj Pro 2003+Web access:-

I've set up four users for Web Access that use windows authentication to be logged on. I want these to be in the enterprise resource pool so that they are assigned tasks when added to a project via Proj Pro 2003 using the enterprise resource pool.

The problem i have is they are not showing in the resource pool.

If I go through the steps and add a person from project pro to the enterprise resource pool it creates them as a new user as well, but one using MS Project Authentication!! This is driving me mad, can anyone help?

You need to create your resources in the Enterprise Resource Pool so that
their user accounts are created for them automatically in PWA. When you
create the resource, then double-click the resource to open the Resource
Information dialog. In this dialog, you can specify the Windows User
Account for the resource. When you save the resource, an account will be
created for them in PWA using Windows authentication. Hope this helps.
