Users calendar folder is +700MB

Exchange server running on a SBS 2003 server

clients are all 10.5.1 machines running entourage 11.3.9

I have one user who has a calendar size of 700MB. I have no idea why
this is happening. I am nervous to rebuild anything as he had some
serious calendar problems in the past. all his data was lost and had
to be recovered from exchange server.

any ideas why the huge size?? needless to say it is causing some
problems.
