users cannot open form from sharepoint site

Hi,

I have created a form using infopath 2007 that is to be filled out on a
sharepoint site and then submitted to a sharepoint library and e-mail
addresses.

so far, this has worked perfectly on my own computer - but when i tried to
ask someone else to test it he got an error message when trying to open the
form, saying something about that he doesn't have domain level permission.

i have read some of the other posts and found some replies that said that
opening the xsn file using notepad and delete something related to security (
i think) in there would help - but when i try to do that it opens the form
replacing letters with symbols so it's impossible for me to be able to
understand the text...

i have tried everything i can think of - still with the same result.

please help

thank you

I have not got complete idea as to what are you trying to achieve, but
please check the security settings of the form template. You can do
this by clicking Tools->Form Options-> Security tab.
Also, if it is a browser compatible form, then there might be some
other things that you might need to do.

Next, a form template (.xsn file) is similar to any compressed file
(.zip or .cab) and it is comprised of a number of files. For
modifying any of its constituent files, you will need to first extract
it by tools like winzip, etc. and then proceed further. However, be
cautious while modifying any of these files.

Do let me know, if you need any further information.

Thanks,
Paresh

hi,

sorry for not being clear, i'll try again

I want people to be able to fill a browser compatible form out on a
sharepoint site, but they get an error message when they try to open it from
the sharepoint site - the mesesage goes

"This form cannot be opened because it requires the domain permission level
and it currently has restricted permission. To fix this problem, open the
form from the location it was published to."

and then it gives the location to my computer.

i have opened the form from the location giving in the error message and
granted access to Everyone, but with the same result, users cannot open the
form due to restricted permission.

please let me know if you need additional information

thank you
