Using Entourage and Outlook

R

Richard Garneau

I work for a company that will NOT allow me to use my personal Mac on
the company network so I am forced to use both my Mac (for personal)
and my Windows laptop (for work). The problem is that I travel a
lot and certainly carrying 2 laptops is NOT an option. Short of
paying $100 for .Mac, does anyone have any good ideas of how I can
work this out? I need access to my personal contacts and schedule
while I am at work. Simply copying the Contacts and Calendar from
Entourage to the PC is not an option because every time I add or
modify, I would need to remember to port it either way.

Short of creating a new folder on my Windows PC, transferring
everything over and then completely switching back to the worst
operating system in the world, does anyone have an efficient answer
for me?

Thanks so much all,

Richard Garneau

If you do not want to get .Mac, I would get a webbased service for
contacts and calendar. Try Google Calendar and Google Mail. They will
allow you to access your contacts and appointments from both your Mac,
your PC and about every computer with internet access.

Other free services: Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo Mail & Calendar

You just need an IMAP account. Your home ISP most likely offers the option
for either POP or IMAP. IF not, there are free accounts available. For a
list of free providers see:

Lonestar¹s suggestion to use a web based service for
contacts and calendar is probably your best option.
