Using Gradient colors in PP (XP)

I have come to the conclusion you cannot use gradient
colors in an excel chart (XPoffice/windows) and copy them
into a powerpoint slide. It seems powerpoint cannot
handle the colors and turns the chart into black and
white. Anyone else have this problem?

I have never seen this happen in Office 97 or later. Is it possible
that you have PPT in B/W view?
