Using Office 2003 & IE7, downloading vcards from websites not work

This is a recent problem. Not sure if there was a security patch instituted
the the admins, but I can't find any literature on how to troubleshoot.

what happens when you try?

I get a webpage (htm) within the same tab setting forth the person's name,
address, etc. in plain text.

sounds like IE took over the vcard handler - check in file types to see what
is set as the handler for the extension. Should probably also check in IE's
tools, options to see if outlook or ie is set as the contact application.

Under folder options > file types, the vcf file is associated with MS
Outlook. Do you know how to look for this in the registry?

registry.
