VBA and PPT - new book to me

Hello,

Mastering VBA (2nd edition) by Gay Hart-Davis

Seems to have quite a bit on VBA for PowerPoint.

Anyone used it?

Googling the author's name brings up some interesting pages. Somehow, I doubt
Oscar Wilde was really the *first*, but he was more up front about it than
most.

Guy Hart-Davis seems to work better. <g>

Haven't seen any of his stuff, though. Anybody? Looking at the TOC for the
book, it appears to be largely on the VB aspect of VBA, which is fine for an
overall VBA book. It seems there are only 35 pages on PPT though, and most of

35 pages is up on anything else I have seen - re a book devoted to
VBA!

someone must be lurking out there with a book up their sleeve!

the topics look like stuff you're well beyond.

With help from people like your good self I am making some headway but
largely often by trial and error! I would like to have a better grip
om the fundamentals!

From what Steve has said, it sounds like all the other VBA books (and
there are several--I have used the McFedries book): lots about VB and VBA
with other apps and very little about interfacing with the PowerPoint in
SlideShow mode. The McFedries book doesn't even mention that; it is
mainly about how to make it easier to create presentations, not how to
use VBA while the presentation is running.
