vcard from gal doesn't include fax number

When I create a vcard from our global address list it leaves the fax number
blank. Anyone have this problem or a solution? Thanks in advance. Beth

You mean when you create an Outlook contact? (I know of no way to create a vCard .vcf file directly from a GAL entry.) I've noticed this too, in Outlook 2003, and don't know of any workaround other than to type in the fax number.

Thanks for the response. That's what I thought. Just one more step from my
technically illiterate users. FYI: I did create the vCard directly from
the Global Address List using Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003. It is an
available option when creating a signature using a vCard.

I was afraid that you'd discovered that method. It's not easy to find but I consider it quite problematic because it is a potentially significant privacy leak, generating a vCard that has not just business contact information but home contact information as well, if it exists in AD.

We are a small company and I haven't filled out any info in AD except for the
one user that wanted a vcard. I only filled in the info he wanted to send to
clients but thanks for the warning.
