Verify Database Automatically in Background

The new feature in the Office 2004 Database Utility to "Verify Automatically
in Background" is great but you need to know that if you have turned off
Notifications and/or quit the daemon, "Verify Automatically in Background"
will not occur.
In Office 2004, the daemon is also used to run the option in the the Database
Utility to "Verify Automatically in Background".

If the daemon is turned off, "Verify Automatically in Background" will not
take place?
