Very frustrated

I've got outlook 2007. I have activities setup for alot of my contacts but
only a handfull will show activities. I've checked every box etc but still
can't get it to work consistantly. Can someone explain which fields in an
email or something control whether activities picks it up? I'm very
frustrated.

I believe it uses the email address for messages - if not, it uses the
display name. Other items need linked to the contact.
