Very strange formatting problem....

Hello All,

I am using Outlook 2003 with Word 2003 as my default editor. For
years this has been fine, but I recently began having formatting
problems like the text posted below:

A prof e ssional e xp e rt who provid e s sound advic e to individuals
for a f e e .

An accountability partn e r who may provid e n e w p e rsp e ctiv e s
and options to th e ir cli e nt.

Notice the odd spacing around the letter "e". This happens when I
type dirctly into Outlook with Word as the editor and also when I cut
and paste from Word into Outlook.

Any ideas or suggestions around this? It just started in the last 10
days or so.

Thanks....

Dave

is it a real space or just wider spacing? If a real space, look in
autocorrect for "e" converting to " e ". If its wider spacing, either the
style changed (but all characters should be affected) or the font was
changed or is corrupt.

Hi Diane,

It is a real space. Actually it looks like 2 spaces. I checked
autocorrect as you suggested but didn't find anything.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

To me this almost looks like some type of virus on my machine, but my
Norton has not uncovered anything.

It's very frustrating and it's hard to believe that it is only
happening to me.

I don't think it's a virus but some sort of macro or autocorrect/autotext
action adding the spaces. is the spacing correct just before you type it
and then it kinda jumps to add the space before the e?

Actually, everything looks great on my screen. And it looks great in
my sent file. But everyone who receives it is reporting the
problem. At first, it just seemed to be Yahoo mails that it happened
to (mail sent to yahoo accounts) and I figured it was a Yahoo
problem. But now all of the mail I send out is being received the
same way.

Again, it looks fine on my screen....and fine in my sent file, but
something is happening when it is sent out that is causing the problem
for the reader.

Sorry for not being clearer up front....
