Very strange occurance with IncludeText Fields

I have some dynamic documents which have various IncludeText fields from
files built using various scripts. All the IncludeText fields refer to Plain
text files. I have found that if a file has "<script" anywhere in the
docuemnt, I lose all formatting for that field ... font, carriage returns
etc. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and if there is any way around
it??
