very very slow send/receive

Just recently OL 2002 started taking 20 minutes and more
to perform the send/receive function. No settings were
changed. It worked great for months then all of a sudden
I encountered a problem. It is not comcast (the carrier)
as I can use their web mail service to send and receive.
