Viewing a another person's calendar

Hi,
Is there a work around to see another exchange user¹s calendar using
Entourage? I have a 10.3.4 mac using Office 2004 and Office X. I am in a
multi-platform environment (macs and XP machines). Project Center doesn¹t
work for my environment as only Mac users can subscribe to the Project.
Thanks.

Have you tried using the web version of exchange?

In your browser, type in your exchange server's IP address followed by
/exchange ... it will be something like this: http://192.168.0.1/exchange
subtitute "192.168.0.1" with the IP address of your exchange server.

Cheers

If free/busy server information is entered properly on your machine and
their machines, then you should be able to see other users' free and busy
times if you invite them to a calendar event. Furthermore, you can have the
other users use Outlook to configure delegation permissions for their
calendars (explained in detail in Entourage Help and the whitepaper
<http://snipurl.com/84sg>). Entourage 2004 includes new delegation features
that would allow you to access their calendars. If they grant you
appropriate permissions, you can connect to and view other users' calendars
by going to Tools > Accounts, opening the account, clicking the "Delegation"
tab, clicking the "Add" button, and adding the user ID of the person who
granted you access. You can repeat this for multiple users to see several
calendars.

If that person adds you as a delegate, then you can view the calendar via
delegate access.

Be sure that the principal has granted the delegate a minimum of Reviewer
rights on the root of the mailbox. This will require Outlook. See Help and
the ReadMe for more information on this requirement.

Thanks,

Adding someone as a delegate in Outlook is only half of the setup. You
also need to log into Outlook as the person who's calendar you want to
see on a PC (NOT a Mac), then right click on the root level of their
mailbox (Outlook Today), and select Permissions. You must add the
delegate here as well. Go back to your Entourage 2004 system and there
it is.

I have done what you suggest--in fact, I did this some weeks ago. Still
nothing.

Sorry: ³been there, done that² weeks ago. Outlook works fine. There are
permissions set to very high levels on not only the root, but every single
folder I want my delegate to have access to. It is Entourage that is not
working. My Exchange server host would love to provide support, but
Microsoft has not yet managed (or deigned) to provide them with their copy
of Entourage so they can do so.

I am surprised that your setup seems to be working. I have scoured help
sites, read white papers, set and reset permissions until the cows come
home, and all my delegate gets is a blank screen from Entourage. He has to
go to another computer across the room in order to use Outlook to do his
job. You are the first to give me any indication that the delegate feature
actually works anywhere.

Entourage, for me, simply does not work as promised (and as advertised).
Unfortunately, I¹ve given it more than a serious chance to work and it is
now too late to return my ³investment.² The last thing I needed to spend our
limited cash on is more microsoftware that I cannot use, but there you have
it. Wish I could say I was surprised.

Thanks for your offer to help, though!
