Viewing a presentation with IE

Hi,

everytime I want to view a ppt presentation with IE6, the download pop-up
window opens while clicking through slides and asks me whether I want to
open, save or cancel the file.
What is the reason for the repeated pop-up of this dialogue window and how
can it be avoided?
since this viewing process of ppt slide shows didn't happen with IE5.5 the
question is, what has been changed?

Probably because you cannot natively look at PowerPoint files with IE. You need
to open the file with either PowerPoint or the PowerPoint viewer.
