viewing and printing powerpoint presentations

How can i view and print a power point presentation that has been sent to me
if i don't have the actual software installed in my computer? I've been told
i can download a powerpoint viewer but i did try this and it did not work.
The message said someting along the lines of 'your computer cannot do this'

please help as my tutor at collede is emailing me important stuff and i
can't view it.

When you downloaded the file ppviewer.exe did you RUN it to install the
viewer on your computer? If youre not sure search for pptview.exe, if its not
there you havent installed it correctly
