Viewing images

I created and saved a presentation several months ago. Yesterday, I openend
it to update it.

On opening the slides, I noticed that I could not view any of the graphics
or any of the drawings in the main view pane - all I can see is the text;
nor can I see the graphics/pictures in print preview. However, I can see
them in the side pane and in slide sorter. Furthermore, the graphics also
print out on the slides.

I am utterly confused. The graphics are clearly embedded in the
presentation, otherwise they wouldn't print, but I can't see them in the
main pane. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

James Lenaghan

Sure sounds like a video driver issue. HAve you changed your video card or
it's driver lately?

James,
Did you upgrade PPT versions in the meantime? And if so, did you go to PPT
2003? If that is the case, check and make sure that you have all of the
updates installed for PPT 2003.
(If this isn't the case, then Austin is probably right :) )

Thanks for your advice. I have upgraded my PC a few months ago - so that may
be the problem. However, I have got the PPT 2003 updates. Furthermore, I can
properly view any PPT presentation that I download from the web - but not
those located on my own hard drive!

Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Just an additional comment - my main pane viewer is also totally
capricious - some slides show up with the text, colour and graphics - others
in the same presentation just show the text! - but all are visible correctly
in the side pane!

You're a star (and so are you Kathy) ! I downloaded the new drivers for
NVIDIA and I can see everything.

THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!

James
