Viewing items in public calendar/contacts folder

Michael Solem

Hello,

I use Entourage Mac X linked to an Exchange server on a Windows
network.

I'd like to know how I can view the items in the public calendar
folder on the Entourage calendar. When I click the Calendar icon,
none of the entries in the public calednar folder appear on the
calendar. When I click the public calendar folder, the items are
listed like messages in an e-mail inbox.

The same issue occurs with the Contacts folder -- everything is listed
like text messages, not in graphic form.

Any help out there?

You can't using Entourage. You'll have to use Outlook Web Access in Internet
Explorer.

That's because you didn't setup the Free/busy server properly.
The free/busy server ishould be the same as the WebMail (OWA) server and
the address should be entered like that:
www.mywebmailserver.com/public

You will then be able to sync YOUR calendar and YOUR address book.
Viewing other people's calendar and address book is not supported at the
time.

But they'll appear that way all of the time if they're public calendar and
contact folders. Only if they are personal contact and calendar folders
should they disappear once the Free/Busy server has been set up properly.

Quite true... Sorry for not stating that more clearly...
