Virus? When a program is trying to access my Address Book or conta

In the past week, every time I reply to an email, i get this Microsoft
Outlook Warning box that says "A program is trying to access email addresses
you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected,
it may be a virus and you should choose "No" - so, I have been choosing No
even though I am replying to an email so this really isn't "unexpected", but
just the mention of the word "virus" has me selecting "no". Once I select No,
it continues like normal.

In addition, I have downloaded and installed McAfee VirusScan and it doesn't
find anything, but I thought I would post this question and see if anyone
else has come across this issue.

Thanks in advance,
BB

Thanks Diane for the quick response.

I have Outlook 2002 SP3 and I checked out the link you sent, but didn't find
anything with my warning message.

what version of outlook? See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm
for ideas on the cause - acrobat is one of the most common reasons for this
message.

you didn't read the whole page then...
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems has a list of
programs known to cause problems and the fixes. Other programs may also be
at fault but the list should give you some ideas of what to look for.

Are you using word as the editor? if so, it's a word addin doing it.... the
acrobat addin is the usual culprit when replying, unless you have an older
version of the antispam addins.
