Visio connector will not "glue" to connection point What is wron.

I am using Visio 2003 SP3 on MS XP SP3. One some drawings, but not all, the
connector will not "glue" to the connection points. It never turns red.

I have tried several "adjustments" but none seem to work. Once the
connectors fail in a draeing, I can never again get them to glue in. If
there is no problem, they wrok all the time consistently

Anyone have any ideas?

check menu Tools -> Snap & Glue
compare the various settings with a working diagram.
