Vivid backgrounds in Entourage

J

john.

I have noticed that email received in Entourage from people that have
created graphical backgrounds are far more vivid when viewed in
Entourage, and often distract from the email contact and make it very
difficult to read. When I use Outlook to read the same mails the
background is in the BACKGROUND....it is there but does not cause
issues when trying to read the email text.

How can I adjust the background intensity in Entourage so that I can
read the email text

Thanks

John

This is not possible. Entourage's HTML layout capabilities are extremely
limited.

Hi John!

1. I suggest you ask the senders of these messages not to send you
messages with backgrounds. I'm not sure if you're viewing them in a
business setting but if you are then these background images are very
unprofessional.

If I have to reply I make sure to do so in plain text too.

2. Use Entourage's Message --> Remove Background Picture feature to
eliminate the distracting picture. I believe that you will have the
option upon closing to either save or not save the changed message.

Hope this helps!
