VLOOKUP

I am tring to use Vlookup though fx and I can not get it
to work. I would like the grades to showup in colume B:
but all grades are showing up as c. Why is this happen?
What would go into "Looup_value" and Table_array"
and "Col_index_num" and what is the "Range_lookup" for?

A: B: C: D:
100 90 a
89 80 b
79 70 c
