My unit (a Toshiba Satellite) is about 20 months old. The volume used to work,
but all I hear now is an ever so faint noise/chime. At the bottom of my
screen, I clicked on the volumn icon (the megaphone) and the volume is on
high and unmuted. Are there any known steps to remediate this problem, or
does this sound like a hardware issue? CEH
