Hello
MS Windows 2K Pro Workstation (DK) with SP4 and all patches. MS Office
97 Standard (DK) with SP2b. OL97 (DK, version 8.04.5619) from the Office
97 CD is installed later. All installs by Administrator. OL97 works OK
from the admin account.
Problem. When opening OL97 for the from a limited user account a message
is displayed saying something about moving folders and shortcuts not
valid anymore and shall these be restored. Klicking the "Ja" (Yes)
button brings up another message about Windows not being able to write
to the file: Microsoft Outlook.FAV. This file is located in the folder
C:\WINNT on the computer.
Permissions for the file Microsoft Outlook.FAV are then changed to give
write permission for the user and the user group, but doesn't help. Then
check mark for inheritable permissions is removed, this doesn't help
either. Then all permissions for the folder C:\WINNT are given. This
helps, but is completely unaccepable.
I have tried Googling with Microsoft Outlook.FAV without any luck :-(
Any ideas?
