Web interface for Outlook contacts

Kathryn

hi there

I want to set up a list of contacts for a group of users to share. My
thoughts are to create a public folder for the purpose, but I wonder if it is
possible to set it up with a web interface so that the users can access it
via our Intranet? I am not talking about web mail, but something separate
specifically for contacts with a nice, user friendly view that we can
hopefully customise.

Is anyone familiar with such a thing? We are running Exchange 5.5, but will
be upgrading to 2003 shortly, and running Outlook 2003. Some machines have
Windows 2000 and some have XP.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

cheers
Kathryn

hi there

thanks for the reply. I have suggested the public folder option, but they
are looking for something with one set view, and a very rudimentary input
screen, hence the idea of a customisable web interface.

Any ideas?

thanks

Hi there

You can share a set of contact using outlook by following the follwing
steps

1.Go to the contact folder in outlook nad click on the option shared
contacts
2.Add the users with whom you want to share contacts
3.Give aproppriate permissions to users

In this way you can have your contacts shared with outher users
