webpage looks different on different pcs

I am using front page 98 to develop a webpage at a school
I work at.I've noticed that the page displays differently
depending on the computer being used.Particularly on our
newer computers, the page looks smaller and off to the left
instead of filling the whole screen

You will probably find that different browsers/browser versions are in
use or that the resolution is not the same, plus the browsers might be
setup differently.

Is there a way to construct the page so it will view
correctly at different resolutions?

Depends on what you mean by "view correctly".

Take a look at my site - http://www.great-web-sights.com and adjust to
different browser viewport widths/heights (it's not really resolution that's
the issue here, it's how the browser's viewport is sized). Does that view
correctly for you?

Or take a look at this site - http://www.csszengarden.com/. Is that what
you mean?

The former is a fixed-width, centering layout, and the latter is a flexible
layout. Which of those are what you want?

Wow. Thanks, Tom!

I wish I could claim even a tiny bit of credit for the csszengarden site,
but I, too, can only use it as inspiration!

Is it possible that you need to put the content in tables?
