Weird Office 2003 and Windows XP behavior

One of my users came to me today with a puzzling issue. He attempted to
drag an e-mail into a word document and it worked and worked and worked to
do so but never accomplished it. One negative side-effect he is noticing
now is that his explorer.exe is consistently hitting 50%. I am not certain
it is related, but being in tech support, anything out of the ordinary is a
suspect. When I log in with my admin account everything seems to be ok. He
ran an in-place upgrade but it didn't seem to help.

Any thoughts?

Chris

If there is no problem for Admin, then how does it work for the user if you
give the user Admin permissions? If this works, then I believe you should
suspect permissions issues; regmon and filemon from www.sysinternals.com
might help you to look for "access denied" issues?

How does it work for other users on this pc? How does it work for this user
on another pc? Then you will figure out if this is a local pc problem or
account problem as well?

Good luck!

Regards,
Robert.
