What do the symbols mean in the list of messages??

I get what a return arrow or forwarding arrow is trying to tell me, but what
is a ! Trying to say or the little arrow pointing down?

What good are these things with no clue as to what they are supposed to
mean? I¹ve combed the help area and the support area to no avail.

Any clues?

TIA

Those icons indicate the message priority, from lowest to highest (default
is normal, which has no icon).

Thanks, but isn't there a key someplace? Very odd to use unexplained symbols
for anything. I would never have guessed priority by the way.

The symbols used to be in a Help article in X, which seem to have
accidentally been dropped from 2004. You can find them here:

Thanks, Paul.

It of course was not impeding work, but it was making me a little crazy that
I could not find what you just gave me - especially since the 2004 help
files refer to the symbols as being helpful. :)

Best,

Open Entourage Help and search for "symbols in message list" .

Dave -

Paul had already given me the link. Thanks. He told me at the time he got it
from the X files. Would I have found it from Ent 2004 help? I sure did try
before posting the question?

Best,

- Bill
