What function do I use in order to compare data ?

What function do I use in order to:
1. Compare between rows (for example: I have a column of e-
mail
addresses that some of them appearing 2 times and I want
to find and
eliminate the extra e-mails.)
2. compare between columns in the same worksheet and in
different
worksheet (for example: I have on worksheet 1 2 columns
columns A name
columns B e-mail and on worksheet 2 I have only one column
a name
column and I want to get match the name with the e-mail)

1. You may use 'Data -Filter - Advanced Filter' and
check 'Unique values'. Or have a look at

2.Enter the following formula in B1 on your second sheet:
=VLOOKUP(A1,'sheet1'!$A$1$B$1000,2,0)
and copy this down
