I have a Compaq Presario computer and it cam with factory pre-installed
microsoft office 2003 standard edition and we try to clean the computer up
from to much stuff slowing it down and it accidentally got erased. The
question is can the computer funtion well without this? also I have no
recovery disks made, what should I do If I need this?

The computer can surely function without having Office installed, you simply
just won't be able to access your spreadheets and other documents created in
Office apps using Office. (note that there are viewers and other apps for
opening those files, e.g. Wordpad)

You may restore it either (if you got) an application installation disk,
which contains the basic setup files and logic required for installation, or
(if you only have '"restore disks") you may have to reinstall Windows
(restore the image) to get Office back again.
