Well, exploded would be a pie chart where you've used your mouse to pull out one or more of the pieces. http://www.uwec.edu/help/ExcelXP/ch-pieopts.htm Or just look on the second row of examples when you change your chart type to a pie. They're both labeled "exploded pie." So I guess an "unexploded" pie chart would be one where you haven't pulled out one or more pieces.
