What is required when installing Office XP?

I recently attempted to install Windows XP onto my laptop, unaware that it
would not install properly due to the low processor on my laptop (Pentium II
instead of Pentium III). I am in the process of tyring to get a hold of
Windows 98 SE to remedy that situation. Once I take care of that, I want to
install Office XP. I need to know if the Pentium II processor on my laptop
is compatible with Office XP (P.S. I am not too computer savvy).

I believe both Windows XP and Office XP are compatible with a PII processor.
What is likely causing trouble is your processor is either too slow or you
don't have enough memory on your laptop.

Gyorgy Moldova [MCSE, MVP]

Your ability to install Office does not depend technically on your processor
(note that it has a minimum "requirement" but it is not enforced
technically.). You may install Office XP on a P2 machine but it may be a bit
slow after that ;-)

The processor is compatible, how much RAM (memory) does this
