Hi all,
I am new to Outlook 2000 and was trying it out to prepare for an impending
PocketPC purchase soon. I have it both on my laptop (Win98) and home PC
(WinXP). I transferred the info by copying the outlook.pst file which
worked ok - I was hoping to use a program I have been using for a while to
look at the dates of modification and transfer/copy this PST file back and
forth when necessary. However, Outlook once loaded, doesn't completely
unload itself until I reboot - so it doesn't allow the PST files to
overwrite each other. This process only works when I start up the machines
and have not loaded Outlook.
So, is there a better way to syncronize the notebook with the home PC,
sometimes I would add info on the PC and other times it would be on the
notebook. To make matters worst, at some time in the future, I would want
to add a 3rd device into the mix, a PDA - am I asking too much?
I don't run Exchange server at home (obviously) and not all computers have
their own e-mails for Net Folder - I was hoping for a method via Ethernet
LAN.
Thanks.
