What name comes up on forum?

I use my screen name Kevs, but just see now my full names coming up on some
of these threads in Google search on site:
MCZEE. Or midtown computer systems Enterprise.
How is that happening?

It's coming from your News Account setup for mail sent from Entourage.
Change the name in your account to Kevs.

I also suggest you set up a fake NoSpam Account

Thanks Diane, don't know how that happened out of the blue. Never that way
before. Also, how long to these posts stay indexed? (they show up on Google
now)

The Microsoft server saves them for several months. Google much longer.
Unless you are getting spammed, I wouldn't bother changing your address, but
if you have significant spam, you might want to ditch the address and start
fresh.

Yup - MS server is at least 90 days.

The Google archives save forever - there are posts of mine (back when I
used a pseudonym) back to at least 1985, just after the great Usenet
Reformation.

Hmmm. I do all my posts from Google/the web. It displays my name as
an abbreviated email. How do I change it to an actual name?

I don't use Google to access so have no clue as to what needs to be changed.
You'll need to do that on their account info page.

Why not use Entourage to view the newsgroup?

Note that you can have your posts with legitimate return e-mail addresses
removed from the Google Groups archive.

Yet, I started looking for another newsreader and haven't found one that
satisfies me yet. Text handling is far more important to me than
threading, and no other newsreader handles text as well as Entourage.
I've been spoiled.
I agree that Entourage is not a full featured newsreader, but for the Office
newsgroups it's better than using google.
Depends on how you use the newsgroups.

Yup, hence my "<g>".

I'd say that ANY dedicated or combination newsreader is superior to
using a web interface!
