what should I use?

Shalay

the small company that I work for is in the need of new
brochures. We are wanting to go for a full color brochure
and my boss seems to think that I can make the brochures
in my spare time. I know absolutely nothing about desktop
publishing or the programs to use.

I have MS Publisher on the computer and don't know if that
will do the job if I can learn how to use it. I don't
want to go to a lot of trouble only to discover that it
won't do what I want it to do.

Can anyone tell me what program is user friendly and makes
quality documents?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

If you've had design training then you should be able to make great
brochures with Publisher -- if you haven't, then employ someone who has.
Actually, the software is only a small part of the equation. You'll need to
decide how your brochure will be printed -- talking to the person who is
actually going to print it should be the first step in deciding what
software to use. Its no good coming up with a fabulous design, only to have
the printer throw it back as unusable.

Microsoft Publisher might be the exact program you need. However, I would
check with whomever is doing your printing to make sure you know what the
expect of you. Let us know what you find out, and we can steer you in the
right direction.
