Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if these methods are truely secure?

In the following hyperlink, the instructions tell us to use a sql server db
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=299987#2

Is this truely Private and safe? i.e. safe from hacking and bots etc.?

In the following hyperlink, the instructions tell us to create a MSAccess
database in the
_private directory. Is this truely Private and safe?

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825498

i.e. Again, safe from hacking and bots etc.?

Perhaps I should simply ask what the safest way is to have a secured area
for registered users is?

Safety is relative. The question isn't whether it is "truely" safe, but HOW
relatively safe it is. And the answer isn't cut and dried, either, as there
are a good number of environmental factors which affect overall security,
and have nothing to do with what you can do with FrontPage, such as using
HTTPS for encyption of data going back and forth between browser and server,
firewalls, and other network safeguards.

So, if you want to know how safe it is, the answer is "it is as safe as it
can get without taking all of these other factors into consideration."
