When extending formulas, Excel just copies what is in previous ce.

In Excel 2003 when extending formulas an incorrect total appears even though
the correct forumla is showing. It would appear that Excel is not updating
data. Any ideas?

Perhaps Tools / options / Calculation Tab / 'Automatic' instead of 'manual'
