when i enter a price like 16.50 the zero get cut off 16.5

how do i keep the zero on the price sheet using excel. $16.50

Select the cell or column or range of cells, then on the tool bar click
on Format > Cells > Number. Select Number or Currency and be sure that
Decimal Places is 2.

Pre-format the cell to 2 decimal places.

Format>Cell>Number>Number>Decimal Places..2

....and note that you do not need to type the final zero. Enter 16.5 to get
16.50
