When I print a bmp in any Office 2003 Product it has a grid/shadow background

Hello

When I insert a bmp into any Office 2003 Product (or Publisher 2002) it prints with a fine grid pattern shadow. The same bmp prints fine in Office 2000 products. It was suggested to update my printer driver, but that did not help. I am using an HP 1100a LaserJet printer. I have tried printing on a Lexmark Deskjet printer and it prints fine

There may be a problem with your HP printer. If you have a forced uninstaller for your printer (from HP) you could use this method to completely un-install your printer. The regular un-installer deos not completely remove all of the HP software
We have had problems with HP printers on our network and the only way we found to correct any problem with them is to do the above, then re-install.

you can check to see if the print in grayscale option is
selected on that particular printer.
