When installing Office 2003, it keeps telling me to insert Office.

G

G8rEd

I just purchased Office 2003. During installation, I got a message that said
something like "the feature you are trying to use is not available. Insert
Office 200 Professional disk."

The same thing happened when I registered Office 2003 and tried to update it.

I don't own Offie 2000 Professional. Now what?

Hi G8rEd,

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control
Panel to see if Microsoft Office 2000 Professional
is listed (or Microsoft Office 2000 CD2). If so
and the disk is no longer available then you should
be able to uninstall those items.

When installing Office 2003, if there is a 2000
series Office program not in your Office 2003 edition
then the older one will be left installed.

Thanks, Bob. I had actually done that, but forgot to remove Office 2000 from
the Startup files. Every time I started the computer, it would look for it
and then tell me to insert the disks. Removing it from the Startup files
fixed the problem.
